Commune Sky is a weather app for Android developed by Ali Haydar Sayar. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.
In short: the developer does not collect, store or sell any of your data.
What the app does not do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking
- No selling or sharing of personal data
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your device's approximate location to show the weather where you are. Precise (GPS-level) location is never requested. If you don't allow it, the app shows the weather for a default city and works normally.
Your approximate coordinates are used in two ways:
- Weather forecast: the coordinates are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to Open-Meteo to get the forecast. Open-Meteo states that it may keep server logs, which can include coordinates, for troubleshooting and deletes them after 90 days. See the Open-Meteo privacy policy.
- City name: the coordinates are passed to Android's built-in Geocoder service, provided by your device's operating system, to look up the name of your city.
The developer never receives or stores your location.
Data stored on your device
The most recent forecast is saved on your device so the app and its widgets can show it instantly and offline. This data is never sent to the developer (it may be included in your own Android device backup if you have backups turned on), and it is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.

Konum
